Keeping things in perspective . . .

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”

– Maya Angelou

My son Devin shared this with me today.  Thank you Devin – it took my breath away!

There is nothing I can add to what Carl Sagan explains so eloquently and the video shows us so incredibly beautifully.  As Mr. Sagan puts it:

“To me it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we’ve ever known.”

Please take the time to watch this, it is truly inspiring and spectacular.

Please let me know what you thought of Carl Sagan’s short clip.  And as always, thank you for visiting, I appreciate it.

  1. Sagan has always been one of my heroes and his book, “Pale Blue Dot” gets re-read every few years. It’s universal message of the frailty of our existence and how destructive we have become as a species is now more important than ever. He has not only shown us what path we shouldn’t travel but has given us vision and hope for the path we should. It should be required reading for the human race. As usual, thanx again Patti.

    • Thank you so much Doug. I have not read it – and I really want to! Yes I so agree, this message is more important than ever. Thank you again for taking the time to comment and for introducing me to this book. I really appreciate it.
